Who are Mixed Stitch and Friends?

11 women artists working in a variety of media including textiles, stitching, quilting,

watercolour, oils, glass, printmaking and acrylics, exploring common themes of rural and urban landscape, nature and natural forms and portraiture.  This diverse group comprises a mix of self-taught and formally educated artists whose work reflects their unique experiences and artistic journeys.

This exciting exhibition, displaying the talents of an eclectic group, is taking place at the Cornerstone Gallery situated in the Church of Christ the Cornerstone.  Not only does it mark the 25^th anniversary of the church, but in the year that Milton Keynes turns 50 the diversity of this group truly reflects the multi-faceted and rich culture of this new town and the communities that come together under the roof of this iconic building.
